The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a nomad, as a member of a group of people who move from place to place instead of living in one place all the time.
Embracing the spirit of adventure, I have decided be a full-time locum tenens physician, to be an individual who travels from place to place, job to job. As people begin to ask me where do I live, I answer everywhere but nowhere in particular. Historic nomads wandered in search of better food or grazing sites for livestock. I am in search for new experiences, to understand how medicine is practiced in different parts of the country and to see the world. By no means is this lifestyle new or unique to me. Locum physicians have been the hinge pins to many practices and careers. My goal is to maximize the professional and personal benefits of not being restricted to singular practice model.
In 2017, home was Mutomo, Kenya. I volunteered at a Mission Hospital for six months.
